Delicacy in Spanish Food & Drink for Gourmets

If you are a foodie like me who loves to taste different kinds of dishes with hard or soft drinks, never miss any opportunity to travel Spain. The country is popular for its delicious food and awesome beverages. It’s not more than even a month when I visited the wonderful country of Europe, Spain and enjoyed my holidays. What I like most about this place is that the people are so friendly and helpful. They are ready to provide all types of assistance to tourists.

Food is the national mania in Spain. However, if you are not familiar with the Spanish language, you may come across a problem of choosing the best meal as most of the menus are in Spanish. So, you can take help from the waiter and translate the names of recipes into English and order the relevant ones. Explanation of Spanish culture for food and drink can make you hungrier.

Spanish chefs are at the forefront of modern European cooking. Many innovative cuisines are made by them. While visiting some of the amazing attractions of the country, I went to a few restaurants like El Palacio, Ca n'Alfredo, Restaurante Can Fabes and Restaurante Neichel. As I traveled throughout the country for my one month long tour, I reached many places and tasted their traditional cuisines.
Breakfast, Sandwiches and Snacks

The popular traditional breakfast (desayuno) of Spain is chocolate con churros – often known as a Spanish doughnut, is a type of fried-dough pastry. It is served with thick drinking coffee or chocolate. Some cafes and bars serve pastries and cakes (pasteles and bollos), toast and croissants, and crusty sandwiches with a wide variety of fillings.

Bars, Raciones and Tapas

Tapas are a wide range of snacks, appetizers in Spanish cuisine. They can be hot (like chopitos, which are fried or battered) or cold (like mixed cheese and olive). There are small portions of food that conventionally served free with drinks in bars.
Most of the bars offer specialty; particularly Spaniards will usually go to various bars and consider their flavor. In bars Russian salad and pre-friend potatoes are served. Apart from some crisps and olives, sometimes tapas are offered with drinks these days. But you have to pay extra for tapas commonly around €1.50 – 4 for per portion.
There is a regional variation as well in tapas, which are called as pintxos (or pinchos) in the northern Spain. Popular places for tasty tapas in Spain include Cádiz, Madrid, Seville, San Sebastián, León, Granada and Logroño. Tapas are really yummy that you must try during your tour.

Wine and Beer

Trying out some of the excellent wines in Spain can be a great experience. More than 50% of Europe’s vineyards are found in Spain and drinking vino is also superb. At lunchtime, a small pitcher or a glass of wine is served which is commonly included in the menu; or else, wines in restaurants start from around €5–10 per bottle. Beer is almost lager, although a few breweries are made wheat beers, stout-style brews etc.
A tour to Spain is incomplete without booking a suitable Spain villas. It can make your tour convenient and ensure that you hire an accommodation nearby the main tourist attractions including famous bars and restaurants.
